This offering comes from many smallholder farms in the region of Huila, all processed at the "El Puente" processing facility. This facility affords these smaller producers access to infrastructure and support that connects their coffee to buyers around the world that they otherwise may not be able to reach.
The El Puente facility specializes in natural and honey processed coffees, mostly due to the lack of water treatment equipment for wastewater. This has resulted in the facility using 80% less water than if the facility used washed processing.
Upon cupping this coffee, we immediately got the sweet, floral note of peach. After enjoying a few sips, you'll notice the nuance of root beer-like spices.
